Впервые территория была исследована испанцами в 1776 году.
Охотники из Компании Гудзонова залива исследовали северный и центральный
районы в 1825 году, торговец Джедедиа Смит пересек весь штат в 1826-27 гг.
К США территория Невады отошла в 1848 году, в конце войны с Мексикой. Первое
поселение Мормон-Стейшн, сейчас Дженоа, было основано в 1849 году. С 1931
года штат славится индустрией азарных игр и легкостью заключения и расторжения
браков. |
