I know some English proverbs and here is one of them - "There is no place like home".
Really, the best place is our own town or village, and we never forget them when we leave.
There are many beautiful places where people live: near forests or woods, rivers or seas, lakes or ponds and even in the mountains.
Very often we think that such places are
the most beautiful.
By the way, I think that other places have no fine parks and buildings.
Not all of their streets are straight and nice.
But people who live there are proud of them and like them very much.
They like them because they live and
work there.
The beauty of nature is a very good thing but there are things which may be more important and dear to people.
As for me, I am proud of the history of my town and its historical traditions.
I hope l am prepared to do more for
its future.
My place is dear to me because
I have so many friends here.
I go to school together with my
friends and do a lot of interesting
things in my school clubs.
We may work together at a plant or in an office when I leave school.
As an English proverb goes "Every bird likes its own nest".
Let's hope that I will like my own "nest" and will do everything to make it the most beautiful place on earth. |

Ми знаємо англійські прислів'я, от одне з них: «Немає кращого місця, ніж дім»
(«У гостях добре, а вдома краще» - українське прислів'я відповідає англійському).
Дійсно, найкращі місця - це наше місто чи село, й ми ніколи не забуваємо їх, коли покидаємо.
Є багато чудових місць, де живуть люди: біля лісів, річок чи морів, озер чи ставків і навіть у горах.
Дуже часто ми думаємо, що такі місця найчудовіші.
Між іншим, я думаю, що в інших містах немає таких чудових парків і будинків.
Не всі їхні вулиці такі прямі й красиві.
Але люди, що живуть там, пишаються ними і дуже люблять їх.
Вони люблять їх, оскільки там вони живуть і працюють.
Краса природи - гарна річ, але є речі, що можуть бути більш важливі і дорогі людям.
Щодо мене, то я пишаюся історією мого міста, його історичними традиціями.
Сподіваюся, що я готовий робити більше для його майбутнього.
Моє місто дороге мені, бо в мене тут багато друзів.
Я ходжу до школи разом зі своїми друзями і роблю багато цікавого в шкільних гуртках.
Можливо, ми будемо працювати разом на заводі чи в офісі, коли я закінчу школу.
І, як говорить англійське прислів'я: «Кожен кулик своє болото хвалить».
Будемо сподіватися, що буду любити своє «болото» і робити все І можливе, щоб створювати найпрекрасніше місце на землі. |
